Understanding Emmaus: Rediscovering Your Joy for the Ministry

Product Description

Have you lost your joy for ministry? And if so, do you even know where you lost it? Are you moving through each season of life hopelessly looking for that promised season of true rest? Like the psalmist who wrote the seventy third Psalm, you know God is good, but have your feet slipped, and are you waiting on the rekindling of your faith in God?

Understanding Emmaus is designed to lift the spirits and heal the hearts of those who have been beaten and battered on this road of ministry. This book is a clarion call to the body of Christ that serves our Savior wholly, fully, and completely, but who has lost some of their joy fighting through all the unexpected issues that come with a life dedicated to Christ. From confusion to clarity, this book is a practical step-by-step guide that takes us on a journey that removes the weight of overzealous commitment and unmet expectations and will guide you in Rediscovering Your Joy for the Ministry.

Ministerial and leadership visionary, Dr. Rayford E. Malone has been shaping and rebuilding churches for two decades. His pastoral roots began in the Butler community outside of Fairfield, Texas with a small 15-member congregation. Currently Dr. Malone serves as the Director of Human Resources for the Baptist General Convention of Texas.

Throughout the years Dr. Malone has sought to inspire the church to reach its maximum potential in Christ as it seeks to equip, train, and send out new spiritual leaders with a fresh mindset as they find their purpose and direction in life.

In his spare time, he has written several books. The first published book was a co-authored work entitled Boys to Men: A Guide for African American Boys. His subsequent published works include Positioned for Purpose; On the Outside Looking In: Discovering God Through Broken Relationships; Everybody Can’t Climb This Mountain; The Joy of Being Stuck on Pause; and The Joshua Dilemma: Mentoring Servant Leaders in Transition Through Ministry Succession.
